These whimsical, woodland inspired ceramics are derived from quiet moments spent in my Buffalo backyard and frequent trips to Maine. Small birds, leaves, ferns & other foliage are my primary subject matter, as are the natural colors of my surroundings.

I use a few simple tools and the traditional technique of hand building; pinch, coil and rolled slabs to create distinctive pieces. Rocks from my garden serve as molds for the larger bowls in my collections, and textures are notched in free hand. Because each piece is hand thrown and individually glazed, no two are alike.

My interest in ceramics began in college, but my passion was rekindled six years ago after forming a relationship with local potter Greg Link at Cone 5. The artists there taught me to trust my own aesthetic and have given me the studio space to continue expanding my collection.

My work is currently for sale at Wild Things, Buffalo, NY, or you may contact me directly.
